Nissan Urges Owners of 84,000 Older Vehicles to Stop Driving Due to Recalled Takata Air Bags
May 29, 2024, 03:39 PM
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Nissan are urging owners of nearly 84,000 older vehicles to stop driving them immediately due to the risk of exploding Takata air bag inflators. The affected models include certain 2002-2006 Nissan Sentra, 2002-2004 Nissan Pathfinder, and 2002-2003 Infiniti QX4 vehicles. These unrepaired, recalled air bag inflators are at high risk of exploding in a crash and hurling dangerous metal fragments, posing significant safety hazards.
