VisitNintendo Targets 8,535 Microsoft GitHub Repositories in DMCA Yuzu Emulator Crackdown
May 3, 2024, 09:46 AM
Nintendo has issued a DMCA takedown notice targeting 8,535 GitHub repositories hosting clones of the Switch emulator Yuzu. This mass enforcement action, executed by the Microsoft-owned GitHub team, represents one of the company's largest crackdowns against copyright infringement related to its software. The repositories in question were alleged by Nintendo to contain code that either directly provided access to the Yuzu emulator or was based on it, violating the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
