PGMOL stated that Coote's actions were found to be in serious breach of his employment contract, rendering his position untenable. The decision comes after videos surfaced showing Coote making derogatory remarks about Liverpool Football Club—referring to them as a "club of sh**"—and former manager Jurgen Klopp, whom he called a "b****". Another video appeared to show him snorting white powder. Coote had been suspended for a month prior to his dismissal. PGMOL emphasized their commitment to supporting Coote's welfare despite the termination of his employment.
