Nov 30, 2024, 03:58 AM
Russia has successfully launched the Kondor-FKA No. 2 radar-imaging satellite into Sun-Synchronous Orbit using a Soyuz-2.1a rocket with a Fregat-M upper stage from the Vostochny Cosmodrome. This launch marks the second in a series aimed at providing full radar coverage of the Arctic region. The satellite, part of Roscosmos's Kondor-FKA series, is intended to enhance Russia's earth observation capabilities, particularly for monitoring the Northern Sea Route. The launch occurred on November 30 at 00:50:25 Moscow time, following a successful launch of the first Kondor-FKA satellite in May 2023. A live broadcast of the event was available on various platforms.
