VisitKrafton Acquires Japan's Tango Gameworks and Hi-Fi Rush IP from Microsoft
Aug 12, 2024, 02:00 AM
Krafton Inc., the publisher of PUBG, has acquired Japan's Tango Gameworks from Microsoft, along with the rights to the Hi-Fi Rush intellectual property (IP). This acquisition saves the Tokyo-based game studio from closure, which Microsoft had planned for May 2024. Krafton has announced plans to revive Tango Gameworks and expand the Hi-Fi Rush IP as part of a strategic deal with Xbox. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
