This arrangement, reported by the New York Times, allows Musk easy access to the President-elect as he prepares for his second term. Musk, who invested a quarter-billion dollars in Trump's campaign, moved into the cottage around Election Day and left briefly for the holiday season but is expected to return. The proximity to Trump enables Musk to participate in high-level meetings and discussions, including a dinner with Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. Musk's stay at Mar-a-Lago underscores his significant influence within the incoming administration, particularly as he co-leads the new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) with Vivek Ramaswamy.
