13-Foot, 80-Pound Burmese Python Confiscated from New York Home by Officer Jeff Hull
Sep 5, 2024, 04:43 PM
A 13-foot Burmese python was confiscated from a man in upstate New York after authorities discovered he was keeping the illegal pet in a small tank. Officer Jeff Hull of the Environment Conservation Police responded to the report on August 28, 2024, and identified the snake, which was 13'2" long and weighed 80 pounds. The python, which requires a permit to own in New York, was in good health but confined to a 4'-5' tank. The snake has since been sent to a zoo.
