An explosion on Ryazansky Prospect in Moscow early Tuesday morning around 6 AM killed Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, the head of Russia's Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical (NBC) Protection Troops, and his assistant. The explosion reportedly occurred near the entrance of an apartment building, possibly due to a device attached to an electric scooter parked nearby. Russian authorities have confirmed the deaths and opened a criminal investigation into the incident. Investigators are on the scene, and the area has been cordoned off.
