Elon Musk Drops Lawsuit Against OpenAI, Sam Altman, and Greg Brockman
Jun 12, 2024, 12:26 AM
Elon Musk has voluntarily dismissed his lawsuit against OpenAI and its CEO, Sam Altman. The lawsuit, filed in California state court in February, accused OpenAI of abandoning its original mission of developing artificial intelligence for the benefit of humanity and instead prioritizing profit. The court filing did not provide a reason for the dismissal. Musk had also accused OpenAI of breaching a founding promise and fiduciary duty. Greg Brockman was also named in the lawsuit. Despite the withdrawal, Musk reserved the right to refile the lawsuit in the future.
