A 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck China's Tibet Autonomous Region near Mount Everest on Tuesday morning, killing at least 95 people and injuring 130, according to state media. The quake hit Dingri County in the city of Xigaze at 9:05 a.m. local time at a depth of 10 kilometers, causing the collapse of many buildings and damaging over 1,000 homes. Tremors were felt in neighboring Nepal's capital Kathmandu and parts of India. Rescue operations are underway, and authorities warn the death toll may rise.
