A magnitude 6.3 earthquake struck El Salvador on Sunday, with the epicenter located off the coast of La Paz, 29 kilometers southwest of Costa del Sol and 70 kilometers from the capital. The earthquake, which occurred at a depth of 33 kilometers, was felt across El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. No immediate reports of casualties or significant damage were received, though 27 aftershocks were recorded, with 11 felt by the population. The Salvadoran Ministry of Environment confirmed there was no tsunami threat following the earthquake.
