Ukrainian Drones Strike Kaluga Oil Depot and Typhoon Plant, Causing Fires Visible Miles Away
Nov 25, 2024, 08:09 AM
On the night of November 24-25, Ukrainian drones struck targets in Russia's Kaluga region, hitting an oil depot and a defense manufacturing plant. The attacks, involving at least eight drones, caused fires at the Kaluganaftoprodukt oil refinery, damaging at least four oil tanks, with flames visible from miles away. The Typhoon plant, which produces radar systems and missile components for the Russian military, was also reportedly targeted. Russian authorities confirmed that a fire broke out at an industrial facility due to falling debris from destroyed drones and announced increased security measures. The operation was reportedly carried out by Ukraine's military intelligence agency.
