A drone attack on an oil depot in Oryol, Russia, occurred overnight on December 22, resulting in a fire at the facility. Reports indicate that Ukrainian drones targeted the site, leading to multiple explosions. Oryol Oblast Governor Andrey Klychkov confirmed the incident, describing it as a 'massive enemy UAV attack.' In response to the drone assault, the Russian Defence Ministry reported that its air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 42 Ukrainian drones across several regions, including Oryol, Rostov, Bryansk, Kursk, and Krasnodar. Of these, 20 drones were downed over Oryol. Local authorities stated that the fire at the oil depot has since been extinguished.
