Several Trump Cabinet Nominees, Including Elise Stefanik, Targeted with Bomb Threats and Swatting
Nov 27, 2024, 04:42 PM
Several of President-elect Donald Trump's cabinet nominees and administration appointees were targeted with violent threats, including bomb threats and swatting incidents, on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. According to Karoline Leavitt, spokeswoman for the Trump-Vance Transition Team, law enforcement responded quickly to ensure the safety of those targeted. The threats ranged from bomb threats to swatting, and were described as 'violent' and 'un-American.' Local law enforcement officials visited the homes of several nominees and appointees in response to the threats. Elise Stefanik, Trump's nominee for UN ambassador, announced she was one of the cabinet nominees targeted by a bomb threat this morning. The transition team stated that acts of intimidation and violence would not deter them from their work of uniting the nation by ensuring a safe and prosperous future.
