2024 MLB Wild Card Series Sets Viewership Records on ESPN with 25% Increase

The 2024 MLB Wild Card Series has set new viewership records on ESPN platforms. According to Nielsen, the series saw a 25% increase in viewership compared to last year, making it the most-watched Wild Card Series ever. The Mets-Brewers Game 3 drew an average of 4.017 million viewers and peaked at 5.745 million viewers, marking the largest MLB game audience on ESPN since 2021. Additionally, the Mets-Brewers Game 2 was the second-most watched game in the Wild Card Series era, with 3.7 million viewers. The Tigers-Astros games also topped 3 million viewers on ABC both days. Day 2 viewership was up 17% from last year, and overall viewership was up 16% through two days. The Mets-Brewers game also scored a 0.87 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
