Kentucky Wins First-Ever CWS Game with Mitchell Daly's 10th Inning Walk-Off, 5-4 Against NC State

Kentucky's baseball team secured a dramatic 5-4 walk-off victory against NC State in their first-ever College World Series (CWS) game. The Wildcats took an early lead with their first run in CWS history, driven by Emilien Pitre and Nick Lopez, followed by a 2-run homer by Nolan McCarthy in the fourth inning. NC State tied the game 3-3 with a 2-run homer by Alec Makarewicz in the seventh. NC State took a 4-3 lead in the ninth inning on a wild pitch, but Kentucky's Ryan Nicholson tied the game with a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth. Mitchell Daly then hit a walk-off home run in the tenth inning to clinch the win for Kentucky. This game marked the third consecutive walk-off win in the CWS, highlighting the intense competition.
