Zoox, an autonomous vehicle company owned by Amazon, has launched its robotaxi service in Las Vegas. The vehicle features no steering wheel, pedals, or display, and includes four inward-facing seats. The robotaxi operates on public roads in mixed traffic at speeds of up to 45 mph. Ed Ludlow reported a 5-mile ride in the robotaxi. Zoox's CEO highlighted the accessibility and scalability of this new form of transportation, expressing a desire to have had such a service available earlier.
