Coinbase, Largest U.S. Exchange, Re-enables Ripple XRP Trading for New York Residents
May 23, 2024, 01:59 PM
Coinbase, the largest centralized exchange in the U.S. by trading volume, has re-enabled XRP trading for New York residents. The decision comes after a strong partnership with the State, as confirmed by Coinbase's Chief Legal Officer. This move allows New York users to trade XRP on the Coinbase platform, including through its iOS and Android apps. The relisting follows previous regulatory hurdles that led to the removal of XRP from Coinbase's offerings in New York. The New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) has played a role in permitting the relisting of Ripple's XRP.
