Zelensky to Request US Permission for Long-Range Strikes on Russia, Present Ceasefire Plan at UNGA 79
Sep 15, 2024, 06:05 AM
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is planning a trip to the United States to request permission from the Biden administration to use Western long-range missiles for strikes deep into Russian territory. Zelensky intends to present a comprehensive plan, which includes a localized ceasefire agreement on certain sections of the front. The plan will be presented to President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and former President Donald Trump during the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) 79 in New York later this month. Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has already met with Zelensky as Ukraine seeks to expand its military capabilities.
