FTC Fines GameStop CEO Ryan Cohen Nearly $1 Million for Wells Fargo Antitrust Violation

The U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has ordered GameStop CEO Ryan Cohen to pay a penalty of nearly $1 million to settle an antitrust law violation. The violation pertains to Cohen's failure to file a Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) form after acquiring over 562,000 shares of Wells Fargo. Cohen is also the managing partner of RC Ventures LLC. The FTC announced the penalty on Wednesday, noting that the violation dates back 6 years.
