Ukraine's $300,000 Nord Stream Sabotage: Zelensky Approved, WSJ Reports
Aug 15, 2024, 05:52 AM
A recent report by the Wall Street Journal reveals that the destruction of the Nord Stream gas pipelines was orchestrated by Ukraine. The operation, which cost approximately $300,000, involved a small rented yacht with a six-member crew. Initially approved by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the plan was later halted after the CIA became aware and requested its cancellation. General Zaluzhny, also referred to as Zaluzhniy, was accused of orchestrating the sabotage. Despite previous media reports attributing the attack to Russia, the new details suggest a Ukrainian involvement. President Zelensky reportedly tried to abort the operation at the last minute. The operation was reportedly overseen by a top general and funded by private businessmen.
