Three UN peacekeepers were lightly injured in an explosion near their vehicle in the village of Yarine, southern Lebanon, according to UNIFIL spokesperson Andrea Tenenti. The incident occurred while the peacekeepers were on patrol in a clearly marked UN vehicle. The injured peacekeepers have safely returned to their base, and an investigation into the incident is underway. UNIFIL has not attributed the explosion to any particular group.
