In a historic achievement, a Ukrainian F-16 fighter jet successfully shot down six Russian cruise missiles in a single sortie, marking the first time this has occurred. This record was confirmed by Yuriy Ignat, a former spokesperson for the Ukrainian Air Force, who stated that the event took place during a massive attack on December 13, 2024. Notably, two of the missiles were downed using the aircraft's cannon.
