Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called on Western nations to utilize approximately $250 billion in frozen Russian assets to purchase weapons for Ukraine. This request comes as part of Ukraine's efforts to bolster its military capabilities amid ongoing conflict with Russia. Zelensky's appeal was made during a meeting with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk. Ukraine is also increasing its domestic weapons production, with about 33-34% of its weapons now being produced domestically, a significant increase from previous levels. Zelensky mentioned that Ukraine produces more drones than Russia and aims to end the war this year. The proposal to use frozen Russian assets for military purchases reflects Ukraine's strategy to enhance its defense capabilities using international support.
