Nov 27, 2024, 07:04 AM
Russia is actively using Tu-160 strategic bombers that were transferred from Ukraine 25 years ago as part of a gas debt settlement. According to an investigation by Schemes, a project of Radio Liberty, at least six of these bombers are now part of Russia's active combat fleet and have been deployed to strike Ukrainian targets. The bombers were originally handed over by Ukraine in 1999 as payment for gas debt.
