Alsobrooks Leads Trone 42% to 41% in $62M Maryland Senate Race

In the closely contested Maryland Democratic primary, Ms. Alsobrooks and Mr. Trone are nearly tied, with Alsobrooks slightly leading at 42% against Trone's 41%, and 12% of voters still undecided, as per the latest Emerson College/The Hill/DC News Now survey. Alsobrooks, aiming to be the state's first Black female senator, has strong support among women and Black voters, while Trone, who has invested $62 million of his personal wealth into his campaign and spent $54 million on television ads, leads among men and white voters. The primary winner will likely face former Gov. Larry Hogan in the general election.
