Tanzanian Police Block Access to Opposition Leaders' Homes, Arrest Tundu Lissu

On Monday, Tanzanian police blocked access to the homes of two opposition leaders in Dar es Salaam, according to their party. Additionally, Tundu Lissu, the Vice Chairman of the opposition party Chama cha Demokrasia na Maendeleo (CHADEMA), was arrested at his home in Tegeta, Dar es Salaam. The arrest involved a convoy of 11 vehicles. The opposition party has confirmed Lissu's arrest and expressed concern over the increasing pressure on opposition figures in the country.
