The explosions were initially believed to be linked to a potential Houthi attack, following the group's vow to respond to Israeli airstrikes on Hodeidah. However, the IDF later stated that no projectiles were fired and no interceptor missiles were launched in Eilat. The IDF assured that there is no indication of a security incident in the area. Red Alert sirens were also sounded in Eilat.
