Jacky Rosen Wins Re-Election in Nevada Senate Race by 12,699 Votes
Nov 7, 2024, 01:58 PM
Incumbent Democratic Senator Jacky Rosen has been projected to win re-election in Nevada's U.S. Senate race, defeating Republican challenger Sam Brown. The race was closely contested, with Rosen trailing Brown by a narrow margin for much of the vote counting process. As of early Wednesday, Brown led Rosen by less than 1,000 votes. However, as more mail-in ballots were counted, particularly from Clark County, Rosen pulled ahead. By late Wednesday, Rosen's lead had grown to 12,699 votes, or 0.9%. With 90% of the votes reported, she held 47.6% of the vote compared to Brown's 46.7%. Decision Desk HQ called the race for Rosen on Thursday morning. By Thursday night, her lead had increased to 18,289 votes.
