Afghan Man Killed by Police After Stabbing Rampage at Euro 2024 Party in Germany

A man attacked several people at a private party to mark the opening of the Euro 2024 soccer tournament in the eastern German state of Saxony-Anhalt. Three were hurt and the assailant was later shot dead by the police. One man was killed and three others were stabbed by the suspect, who was identified as an Afghan national. The attack occurred in Wolmirstedt, Magdeburg, and the suspect was a 27-year-old Afghan migrant. The incident took place on Friday night during the televised opening game of the Euro 2024 soccer tournament. The police shot the suspect dead after he attacked two other people watching the Scotland-Germany game, both of whom are seriously ill.
