Washington Commanders Rebrand Stadium as Northwest Stadium in 8-Year Deal with Northwest Federal Credit Union
Aug 27, 2024, 02:14 PM
The Washington Commanders have entered into an eight-year stadium naming rights agreement with Northwest Federal Credit Union. This deal rebrands the team's stadium as Northwest Stadium, potentially giving the Landover facility its final name. The agreement, which runs through the 2031-2032 season, does not include options for a potential new stadium. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it reportedly exceeds the $7.5 million average annual value of the previous agreement with FedEx. The Commanders will unveil the newly named Northwest Stadium during their home opener against the New York Giants on September 15th. The partnership also includes Northwest branding throughout the stadium and on the team's jerseys during practices. The stadium is located in Landover, Maryland, east of Washington, D.C.
