Explosions and Fires in Russian-Occupied Crimea After Fatal Beach Strike by Ukrainian Missiles
Jun 23, 2024, 07:26 PM
Explosions have been reported in multiple locations across Russian-occupied Crimea, including Sevastopol, Yevpatoria, Zaozerne, and Donuzlav. The Russian Ministry of Defense has stated that Ukraine used US-supplied ATACMS long-range missiles, armed with cluster munitions, to carry out the attacks. A massive fire has been observed in Yevpatoria following the ballistic missile strikes. Reports indicate that four M270 MLRSs fired eight ATACMS missiles in a quick salvo. The attacks have resulted in significant damage, with smoke seen rising in the bay of Sevastopol and ambulances rushing to a radar site in Vitino. Russia claims that the missiles were used in a fatal beach strike.
