China Dominates Paris 2024 Paralympics with 94 Gold Medals and 220 Total Medals, Sixth Consecutive Win

China has emerged as the overall champion of the Paris 2024 Paralympics, concluding the event with a total of 220 medals, including 94 gold, 76 silver, and 50 bronze. This marks the sixth consecutive time that China has topped both the overall medal tally and the gold medal tally since the Athens Paralympics. Earlier in the competition, China had already amassed 120 medals, including 56 gold medals. As of September 6, China led the tally with 74 golds, 55 silvers, and 37 bronzes. Great Britain secured second place with a medal haul of 49 gold, 45 silver, and 31 bronze, surpassing their performance in Tokyo three years ago. The United States finished third with 36 gold, 42 silver, and 27 bronze medals. Other notable performances include the Netherlands with 24 gold medals and Italy with 20 gold medals. At one point, China had 83 gold medals.
