Israeli Strikes Kill 70 Palestinians in Gaza Amid Ceasefire Efforts in Qatar

Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip have resulted in the deaths of at least 70 Palestinians over the last day, according to Palestinian medics. The strikes targeted various areas, including a humanitarian zone, and have intensified amid renewed efforts by mediators in Qatar to secure a ceasefire in the ongoing conflict, which has lasted nearly 15 months. The Gaza Health Ministry reported that in the last 24 hours, Israeli forces committed four massacres against families, killing 59 people and injuring 273 others. The total death toll since the conflict began on October 7, 2023, has reached 45,717, with 108,856 people injured. Specific incidents include an airstrike on a house in Gaza City that killed 12 members of the Al-Ghoula family, and another strike in the same city that killed 11 people, including 7 children. The violence has continued despite international calls for a ceasefire and efforts to negotiate peace.
