Senior executives from British defence firms including BAE and Babcock met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy to discuss boosting military support for Ukraine. The UK is committed to equipping Ukraine with the military capability to defend itself, as stated by Defence Secretary John Healey. Ukraine and the UK signed a loan agreement for £2 billion to provide financial support for strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities, including the purchase of modern weapons and military equipment in accordance with NATO standards. The agreement, which has a 15-year term and will be monitored by a joint commission, was signed by Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov and UK Defense Minister John Healey.
