FBI Finds Social Media Account Linked to Trump Rally Shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks with Antisemitic, Violent Posts
Jul 30, 2024, 03:06 PM
FBI Deputy Director Paul Abbate testified before the Senate committee that the bureau has discovered a social media account believed to be associated with Thomas Matthew Crooks, the alleged shooter at a Trump rally. The account, active during 2019 and 2020, contains over 700 comments that reflect anti-Semitic and anti-immigration themes, as well as rhetoric espousing political violence. The FBI is still working to confirm the account's ownership but considers the content to be extreme in nature.
