SAG-AFTRA, a union representing actors and media professionals, has reached a tentative multiyear agreement with leading record labels, including Warner Music Group and Sony Music Entertainment. The deal, which spans from 2021 to 2026, includes significant protections for artists against the exploitation of artificial intelligence (AI) in the music industry. This agreement, unanimously approved by SAG-AFTRA's executive committee, aims to ensure fair wages and safeguard human creativity against the challenges posed by AI technology.
