Iran's IRGC Unveils Rezvan Kamikaze Drone with 20 km Range, Army to Receive 1,000 Strategic UAVs
Jan 10, 2025, 08:22 AM
Iran has unveiled a new loitering munition drone named 'Rezvan,' introduced by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Ground Force during the Payambar-e Azam 19 military exercise. The Rezvan drone, classified as a kamikaze drone, features a 20-kilometer range and a flight endurance of 20 minutes, designed for precision strikes in mountainous terrains. It is equipped with a forward-facing camera for real-time imagery transmission, enabling the operator to select and strike targets from a cylindrical launcher. This drone enhances the capabilities of the IRGC's rapid response units and is particularly effective for counter-terrorism operations. Additionally, Iran's Army is set to receive 1,000 new strategic drones, designed and produced in collaboration with the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics. These drones are expected to enhance the Army's capabilities in long-range, precision, intelligence, and network orientation, aimed at countering potential threats.
