VisitSalmonella Outbreak Sickens 65 in 9 States, Linked to Wisconsin Eggs
Sep 7, 2024, 02:05 PM
A salmonella outbreak has sickened 65 people across nine states, prompting a recall of eggs. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has traced the outbreak to eggs labeled with 'Milo’s Poultry Farms' or 'Tony’s Fresh Market,' which were sold in Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Virginia, Utah, and other states. Wisconsin health officials initiated the recall after identifying the source of the infections as a farm in Wisconsin. The CDC advises consumers to avoid eating the recalled eggs and to either throw them away or return them to the store. As of Friday, there have been 24 hospitalizations and no deaths reported.
