Barkley's 198 yards, two TDs lift Eagles over Washington 26-10; overtakes NFL rushing lead
Nov 15, 2024, 03:51 AM
Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley has surpassed 1,000 rushing yards for the season, becoming the NFL's rushing leader ahead of Derrick Henry. Barkley achieved this milestone during the Eagles' 26-10 victory over the Washington Commanders on Thursday Night Football. In the game, Barkley rushed for 146 yards and scored two touchdowns, totaling 198 scrimmage yards, including a 23-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter that helped the Eagles pull away. This is the earliest in his career that Barkley has reached 1,000 rushing yards, accomplishing it in just 10 games. He is now the sixth player since 1970 to rush for over 1,000 yards in his first 10 games with a new team. Barkley has been instrumental in the Eagles' six-game winning streak and has eight games with over 100 scrimmage yards this season.
