An explosion occurred at the Omsk oil refinery in Russia on August 26, leading to a fire that spread over an area of 1,000 square meters. The refinery, owned by state-run energy giant Gazprom, reported that at least two people were injured. Despite the incident, the refinery remains fully operational, with its automatic safety system having detected the fire, which is now under control. The facility, one of the largest and oldest in Russia, has assured that its production program will not be affected, thanks to additional production capacity at the plant.
