Massive Russian Missile Attack Hits Kyiv and Other Ukrainian Cities, Injures Three
Jul 8, 2024, 07:51 AM
Russian forces have launched a massive missile attack on Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities, including Pavlohrad, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, and Zhytomyr. The assault involved various types of missiles, such as Kh-101, Kinzhal, and Kalibr, targeting multiple regions across Ukraine. Ukrainian air defenses managed to intercept three out of four Kh-101 missiles. Despite these efforts, explosions were reported in Kyiv, with debris hitting at least two districts and injuring three people, one of whom was hospitalized. The attacks coincide with the start of the NATO summit, heightening tensions in the region. Emergency services have been deployed in the Solomianskyi District of Kyiv following a loud explosion. Air raid alerts have been announced nationwide as the missile strikes continue. Mayor Klitschko confirmed that guided bombs were also used in the attacks.
