Chinese Scientists Set World Record with 42.02 Tesla Water-Cooled Magnet on Sunday
Sep 22, 2024, 05:09 PM
Chinese scientists have set a new world record by producing a steady magnetic field of 42.02 tesla using an independently developed resistive, water-cooled magnet. This achievement, equivalent to over 800,000 times the Earth's magnetic field, surpasses the previous record set by the United States in 2017. The milestone was achieved on Sunday by researchers from the High Magnetic Field Laboratory of the Hefei Institutes of Physical Science.
