New Dutch PM Assures Continued Support for Ukraine, Expands Training Mission

The new Dutch Prime Minister, Dick Schoof, has assured Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskiy that the Netherlands will continue to support Ukraine. During a phone call, Schoof confirmed that the Netherlands will expand its training mission for Ukrainian pilots and scheduled a bilateral meeting. Additionally, Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans stated in an interview in The Hague that the new government will maintain existing support and add more if needed, emphasizing that Ukraine is treated differently from other budget items. President Zelenskiy expressed gratitude for the Netherlands' support and highlighted Ukraine's goal to double its air defense capabilities this summer. He also thanked Germany for providing the Patriot system and acknowledged additional air defense support from the USA.
