May 7, 2024, 04:14 PM
The Miami Grand Prix, now in its third year, has significantly contributed to Formula One's expansion in the U.S. The event, part of a trio of American rounds this season including Austin in October and November's Las Vegas Grand Prix, achieved a record-breaking viewership. According to ESPN, ABC Network attracted 3.1 million viewers for the race, making it the most-watched Formula One grand prix in U.S. history. This viewership surpassed the previous record of 2.6 million set at the same event in 2022. Additionally, the F1 Sprint on Saturday drew 946,000 viewers, the largest audience for such an event on record.
