Dolphins Sign Jaylen Waddle to Three-Year, $84.75M Extension with $76M Guaranteed
May 30, 2024, 02:44 PM
The Miami Dolphins have signed wide receiver Jaylen Waddle to a three-year, $84.75 million contract extension, which includes $76 million guaranteed and $35.9 million guaranteed at sign. This extension makes Waddle one of the top five highest-paid receivers in the league, with an average annual value of $28.25 million. The 25-year-old Waddle is now under contract through the 2028 season. Waddle has been a standout performer for the Dolphins, recording three consecutive 1,000-yard receiving seasons and holding the franchise record for the most receiving yards in the first three years of a career. The deal is structured to have manageable cap hits for the Dolphins, with $9 million in 2024, $19.9 million in 2025, $27.7 million in 2027, and $31.1 million in 2028. WME Football negotiated the deal. The Dolphins now have two of the highest-paid receivers in the league, with Tyreek Hill also among the top earners.
