Israeli Navy Successfully Tests LRAD Long-Range Interceptor Defense System

The Israeli military has successfully tested its new long-range interceptor aerial defense system, known as LRAD. This test was completed this week by the Israeli Navy and Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) using the INS Atzmaut Missile Ship and a Sa'ar 6-class corvette. The LRAD system is designed to intercept a variety of threats, including cruise missiles and rockets.
