Las Vegas Aces' A'ja Wilson Named 2024 WNBA MVP, Wins Third MVP Unanimously

A'ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces has been named the 2024 WNBA MVP, making her the first player in league history to win the award three times in her first seven seasons. Wilson received all 67 first-place votes, becoming the second player to win the MVP unanimously since Cynthia Cooper in 1997. This season, Wilson averaged 26.9 points, 11.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.8 steals, and 2.6 blocks per game. Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart finished second and third in the MVP voting, respectively, while Caitlin Clark, who did not receive any first or second-place votes, finished fourth. Angel Reese received one fourth-place vote, and Kelsey Mitchell received one third-place vote. Caitlin Clark was also named the unanimous AP Rookie of the Year. Wilson's achievements this season also include signing with Gatorade, scoring a record 1,021 points, winning an Olympic gold medal, being unveiled on the cover of NBA 2K25, being named an All-Star for the sixth time, and announcing her own Nike signature shoe.
