U.S. Navy Sikorsky CH-53 Sea Stallion Makes Emergency Landing in Ebina Rice Paddy, No Injuries Among 12 Crew Members

A U.S. military helicopter, identified as a Sikorsky CH-53 Sea Stallion, made an emergency landing in a rice paddy in Ebina, Kanagawa Prefecture, near Tokyo on Saturday morning. The incident, which occurred around 11:00 AM local time, was attributed to engine trouble. Fortunately, no injuries were reported among the 12 crew members on board. Following the emergency landing, the helicopter successfully took off again, heading to the nearby Naval Air Facility Atsugi. Local police are currently investigating the situation.
