Protests Erupt in Nairobi After Discovery of Ten Bodies Near Police Station in Mukuru Slums

A series of protests have erupted in Nairobi following the discovery of multiple bodies in the Kware area of Mukuru slums, near a police station. As of now, ten bodies have been retrieved, with six confirmed to be female. The bodies were found wrapped in polythene bags and tied with ropes, showing visible injuries. The discovery has caused significant unrest among residents, leading to clashes with police officers. The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has directed the Office of the Inspector General to conduct a thorough investigation and submit a report within 21 days. President Ruto has also instructed the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to expedite the probe and ensure those responsible are held accountable. The bodies were discovered in a quarry, and all victims were mutilated.
